What Can I Do to Help You Improve Your Manuscript?
I can help you refine and polish your literary manuscript (poetry,
fiction, nonfiction) so that it is agent/publisher ready.
I also offer a free sample edit for all first-time clients as well
as free estimates on any work!
Spelling
Punctuation
Grammar
Sentence sense/structure
Word usage

This means that I will do a brief reading and overview of your manuscript and:
Advise you as to whether it requires further proofreading or editing before sending to a publisher or agent
Provide you with a written summary of the specific areas requiring more revision
How will Services be Provided?
Hard copy mailed documents:
Red pen or pencil and user-friendly proofing/editing
remarks (you will not have to look up editing marks in an
English composition manual!) You will need to provide an
envelope with sufficient postage for the return
of your manuscript.
E-mailed/Website submissions: MS Word Track Changes or my highlighted
text/red remarks method that works well for those who don’t like Track
Changes.
Manuscripts must be in black print, 12 font, double spaced, and
Times New Roman or Arial. Please, no unusual or colored fonts. Poems may
be single spaced if preferred.
How Long Will It Take?
This is the hardest question to answer. It depends on several things:
The length of your manuscript
The style of your manuscript
The extent of proofing/editing needed
I will provide you with a reasonable estimate of how long I will need to work
on your manuscript.
What Will It Cost?

In my research of editing services, I have found a wide range of charges,
from $30 an hour for basic proofreading to upwards of $75 an hour.
*I can offer you several cost-saving options:

- Pre-Editing Consultation

One-time fee based on length and style of manuscript
IPayment options include PayPal and check.
How Can You Be Sure This Editing Service is for You?
I will provide you with a free sample of a one-page, double-spaced edited excerpt of your fiction or nonfiction, or one edited page of your poetry. This will demonstrate the basic format in which we would work together and also the scope and proficiency of my service.
*If a client is uncomfortable with the hourly fee, I am happy to discuss other arrangements, such as per-page fees and per-manuscript fees. I will always provide a free estimate.
