My Background:

My passion is writing as well as reading and editing the literary writing of others. I have edited or co-edited three books of poetry as well as individual memoirs, short stories, essays, and poetry. I am currently an active member of two writing groups: one a poetry group and one a mixed poetry, fiction, and nonfiction group. I am a board member of the Knoxville Writers’ Guild and the 2008-2009 facilitator of the KWG Poetry Workshop. I was chosen as a judge for regional contestants in the national poetry challenge, Poetry Out Loud. 

I have a number of publications, including a recent anthology of poems of which I am one of two editors and a contributor. I have work published by Roanoke Review, New Millennium Writings, Tar Wolf Review, Birmingham Arts Journal, and others.
